Note: This is my first fic so it might not be really good:).
It was after the Jellicle Ball, everyone went home except for Munkustrap, Demeter, Bombalurina, and Rum Tum Tugger.
"Well everyone's gone and our humans will be getting up soon*, so I guess we better get going," Munkustrap said with a sigh.
"Guess you're right," Demeter said in agreement.
"Yeah, my humans get really worried when they don't know where I am," Bomb said. *I don't know why,* she thought to herself.
"Well, then, let's go," Munk announced. " Come on, Tugger. Tugger! Don't tell me he's asleep already?"
"OK, I won't," Bomb said jokingly trying to lighten the mood. "Tugger, wake up. It's time to go." Tugger opened his eyes to see the ever so beautiful Bombalurina standing over him.
"Hey, beautiful," he said as he scratch her chin.
"Come on Tugger we have to go," Munkustrap said with an annoyed look on his face.
"OK, I'm coming. Hold your horses." With that Munkustrap stomped off towards home.
"What's with him?" Bomb asked looking at Demeter. Demeter just shrugged, and ran off towards Munkustrap.
"What's wrong, Munku?" Dem asked.
"I don't know, I guess I'm just worried."
"Why?"
Well, Deuteronomy's time is almost up, which will make me the new leader. And I guess I think I won't do a good job," Munk said
"Well I think you will," Dem said trying to cheer him up.
"Thanks, Dem".
"Hey come on you two, we'll race ya!" Tugger yelled as he and Bomb caught up to them.
"I don't know," Munk said, not sure if he was up to it.
"Oh, come on, Munky," Tugger jeered.
"You're on!" he said as He ran past Tugger.
So the four cats raced to the raced to the corner of Elm and Main Street. Little did they know what was waiting for them there.
They raced a few blocks until they reached their destination.
"Man, that was fun," Tugger said between gasps of air.
"You said it," Munku replied.
All of a sudden there was a cold breeze that blow over the four Jellicles. A chill ran up and down Demeter's spine
"MACAVITY!" Demeter shrieked.
"Ah, well, what do we have here," Macavity said evilly. Tugger and Munkustrap jumped in front of Bomb and Dem.
"Go away Macavity!" Munkustrap spat.
"Why should I, this isn't the Junkyard. I can do what I want," Macavity hissed.
"What do you want Macavity?" Munk hissed.
"Revenge!" Macavity jumped over Munkustrap and Tugger. He grabbed Bombalurina and Demeter, and took off towards his lair.
"Come on. We have to follow him," Munkustrap yelled to Tugger.
Munkustrap and Tugger followed Macavity to his lair. When they got there they hid behind a pile of boxes.
"What should we do?" Tugger asked. "We can't go in there by ourselves."
"You're right! Let's go back to the Junkyard and get a group together." Munkustrap and Tugger headed back towards the Junkyard.
*Remember, Old Deuteronomy picks the cat to go to the Heaviside Layer just BEFORE DAWN, so they didn't leave till a little after dawn.
